Bedding Care Guide

Proper care will keep your Royal Comfort bedding soft, fresh, and beautiful for years to come. Follow these simple guidelines for each product type.

Sheet Sets & Pillowcases

• Machine wash warm (40°C) on a gentle cycle
• Use a mild, colour-safe detergent
• Do not bleach
• Tumble dry on low heat or line dry in shade
• Warm iron if desired — avoid high heat settings
• Wash before first use to activate softness

Bamboo Bedding

• Machine wash cold or warm (30–40°C) on a gentle cycle
• Use a gentle, pH-neutral detergent
• Do not bleach or use fabric softener
• Tumble dry low or line dry — bamboo dries quickly
• Do not iron on high heat — cool iron only if needed

Quilts & Doonas

• Check the care label — most quilts are machine washable on a gentle, warm cycle
• Use a front-loader washing machine for bulkier items
• Tumble dry on low with a couple of clean tennis balls to restore loft
• Air dry fully before storing to prevent mildew
• Dry clean recommended for wool and down-filled quilts

Pillows

• Machine wash warm on a gentle cycle, two pillows at a time for balance
• Tumble dry low with tennis balls until completely dry
• Air for several hours after drying to ensure no moisture remains
• Replace pillows every 1–2 years for optimal support

Mattress Toppers

• Spot clean with mild detergent and cold water for small stains
• Air regularly in a well-ventilated area or in sunlight
• Use a mattress protector over your topper to extend its life
• Check care label for full wash instructions — varies by fill type

Storage Tips

• Store bedding clean and fully dry in a cool, dry place
• Use breathable cotton storage bags — avoid plastic bags which can trap moisture
• Add a lavender sachet to keep bedding fresh during storage
